Witness and dashcam appeal following serious collision in Bournemouth

Officers investigating a serious injury collision in Bournemouth are appealing for witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage to come forward.

At around 5.30pm on Tuesday 11 August 2026 a collision occurred in Belle Vue Road involving a silver Honda Jazz and a pedestrian.

The pedestrian – a man aged in his 80s – has been taken to hospital in a life-threatening condition. His next of kin is aware.

The driver of the Honda was uninjured.

Police Sergeant Dave Cotterill, of the Roads Policing Team, said: “A road closure is in place while we carry out an examination of the scene.

“I am appealing to anyone who saw what happened to please get in touch.

“Also, I am keen to hear from anyone who may have captured anything of relevance on dashcam footage.”
